ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks required
• Holidays as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
• First-time travelers welcome
• Patient ratio of 4-5 patients
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressor management, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and triage
• Department is a combined adult and pediatric general emergency department with pediatrics separated
• Respiratory therapy available in department 24/7 to assist with BiPAP and ABGs
• Travelers may be floated to any campus location as needed
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
