ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• General emergency department experience with combined adult and pediatric patients required
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment prior to consideration
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, ENCP
• Key skills include blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, emergency medications, isolation precautions and PPE, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Maryland compact or MD nursing license required
