ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work in a high-volume emergency department with 101 beds
• Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Scheduling requires every other weekend availability with flexibility to meet department needs - no block scheduling commitments
• Float within all sections of the ED as needed - no floating outside of the ED
• Document using Cerner electronic health record system
• Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Work alongside techs available in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, and triage, as well as unit clerks on days and nights
• Follow AIDET patient experience standards, respectful behavior guidelines, and keep patient boards updated throughout each visit
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required with at least 1 year of ER experience
• Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) strongly preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC (all required before submission); CPI required before date of hire
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
