Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Schedule options available: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts
• AM shift every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required - must work one summer and one winter holiday
• Staff are assigned to self-scheduling groups that rotate every scheduling period (weekly)
• Assignment length ranges from 8 to 26 weeks
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends
• Float to other units required at times to cover staffing needs
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius are not accepted
• Required certification: BLS
• Charting system: Meditech (preferred experience)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
• Care for patients with diagnoses including pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, renal failure, GI bleed, diabetes management, wound care, and more
• Required skills include blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, telemetry remote monitoring, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care, and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services
• 24-hour orientation required
• RTO policy: If one holiday falls in the assignment, expect to work it; if two holidays, expect to work one; if three, expect to work two
