Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Day shift position on a Long-Term Acute Care Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Some weekend shifts required; weekend coverage supported by rotating call among 6 to 8 staff members
• After-hours on-call required after 5:00 PM daily and on weekends, supported by primary and backup call
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Neurology experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in unit will be considered
• 1 year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills: Complex wound care, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, tracheostomy care and management
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Floating to other units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs; staff will only float to units they are qualified for
