Operating Room RN Job in Atlanta, GA

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 112-day travel assignment. You will work 3x12-hour day shifts at $2,047.68 per week, with a start date of July 27, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide perioperative nursing care across multiple service lines including Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, and Ophthalmology. You will maintain a 1:1 patient ratio and float within the facility and to outpatient areas as needed, consistent with your scope of practice.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of Operating Room experience required prior to travel
• Documented experience in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics (required)
• Current BLS certification
• Georgia or Compact nursing license
• Epic charting system experience required
• Travel healthcare experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• Community hospital experience
• Trauma Level I and II experience

Clinical Skills

You must be proficient in Craniotomy, Transplant procedures, Total joint replacement, Laparoscopic procedures, Open and closed reduction of fractures, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, and various GYN procedures. You will care for adult and geriatric patients.

Schedule and Time Off

Variable weekend and call schedules will be discussed during your interview. You may request up to 7 days of time off per contract. No holiday RTO will be approved during blackout dates: November 23–29 and December 21–January 3. Orientation requires 36 hours.

Interdisciplinary support is available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary.
