Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 3x12 shift schedule with every other weekend requirement
• Must work two out of three paired holidays: 11/27 and 11/28, 12/24 and 12/25, or 12/31 and 1/1
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; children's hospital experience within the last 3 years required
• Open to travelers whose experience is from a Level 1 adult facility
• Must have Labor & Delivery experience as primary placement will be in L&D
• NICU or PICU experience required; home unit of NICU, PICU, or Peds will be assigned upon arrival and may change based on facility need
• May float between PICU, NICU, Peds, and to an affiliate hospital
• First time travelers accepted
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred)
• Patient age groups: Neonates, Infants, and Pediatrics
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, RRT (NBRC)
• PALS preferred; NRP required for those placed in L&D and can be obtained once offered
• Indiana state license required; temporary license accepted if permanent license application has been submitted
• Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
• Required skills include: BiPAP, CPAP, extubation, mechanical ventilation weaning, tracheostomy care and management, nitric oxide (iNO), arterial blood gas interpretation, pediatric critical care, pulmonary hygiene, nasal airway suctioning, oral/nasal suctioning, oral airway placement, sputum specimen collection, and operation of Servo U ventilator
