Emergency Room RN Job in Augusta, GA

You'll work as an RN in a freestanding emergency department with 11 patient beds at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of July 27, 2026, working 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with 48 hours per week guaranteed. You'll earn $2,256 weekly.

What you'll do:

• Manage patient care with ratios of 1:4 to 1:6, acuity-based
• Perform IV insertion, Foley catheter insertion, NG tube insertion, and assist providers with common ED procedures
• Set up and adjust respiratory equipment including BiPAP and ventilator equipment with phone support available from the main hospital
• Run point of care (POC) labs alongside PCTs, who are scheduled mid-shift
• Monitor cardiac and vital signs using monitors in all patient rooms
• Float to the main ED as needed
• Document care in Meditech
• Follow AIDET protocols, provide narration of care, and use SBAR for department admissions and transfer handoffs

What we're looking for:

• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience
• Comfort with commonly seen ED chief complaints and trauma patient care
• Current certifications: TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Positive, flexible, team-oriented, and patient-centered approach

Facility details:

The freestanding ED is equipped with cardiac/vital sign monitors in all patient rooms, CT, X-ray, and POC lab capabilities. Every other weekend is required. Royal blue scrubs are the required uniform.
