ED Registered Nurse Job in Augusta, GA

Join Piedmont Augusta Hospital as a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department. This is a 98-week travel assignment beginning May 26, 2026, offering 3x12 hour day shifts at $1,684.80 per week.

Role Overview

You will work in a 59-bed emergency department averaging 165–175 patients daily, providing direct patient care across all acuity levels. Your patient population spans neonates to geriatrics, with a consistent 1:4 patient ratio on all shifts. The department is high-volume and fast-paced, requiring strong clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize effectively.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience (required)
• Prior travel healthcare experience (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications
• Epic charting system experience (mandatory)
• Navy blue scrubs required

Schedule & Time Off

You will work an every-other-weekend rotation unless otherwise specified. Floating within the facility and within scope of practice may occur but is rare. Maximum 7 days of PTO is permitted; Spring Break blackout dates are April 4–12. Holiday coverage is required based on your assignment period.

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is a Stroke and STEMI certified facility with robust interdisciplinary support, including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy.

Additional Information

You will receive 24 hours of non-billable orientation (duration varies by contract length). Core items and lab work must be submitted and completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
