ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 13-week travel assignment starting as soon as possible
• Night shift, 12 hours from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• 48-hour weekly guarantees are NOT available
• Blocked scheduling will be accommodated as much as possible while meeting weekend requirements
• One major and one minor holiday may be required
• Unit has 29 beds plus 8 hallway beds
• Patient ratio is 1:4
• Scrub color: Navy
• EMR system: Cerner (experience preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required plus at least 2 previous travel assignments successfully completed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ESI Level 5 training
• TNCC certification preferred
• Responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for the safe delivery of care in the Emergency Department
• Directs and coordinates nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices
• Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
• Delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
