Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour variable day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments as needed - unit typically low censuses in 4-hour increments
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Work on a Medical and Pediatrics unit treating adult patients - travelers do not take Pediatrics patients
• Typical patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days and 1:6-7 on nights
• Treat patients with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, and able to manage change well
• Must be able to work independently, complete tasks timely, and collaborate with team and ancillary staff
• Positive attitude and flexibility with constant changes throughout a shift required
