ED RN Job in Colorado Springs, CO

St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting November 16, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 days with every other weekend requirement or equivalent of 6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period
• Weekly pay: $2,140
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
• Minimum six weekend shifts per 6-week schedule required
• Holiday shifts required

Clinical Environment

You will work in a 54-bed emergency department within a Level III Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The facility features Fast Track, separate triage, holding areas, and dedicated psych/seclusion rooms. In-house security is present 24/7 in the ER.

Your role includes treating 75+ patients per day with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Common presentations include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain. You will administer cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation, and analgesia drips. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7 for ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs. You will work with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems.

X-ray and CT imaging are available within the ER. You are responsible for drawing labs alongside the phlebotomy team. Charting is done via EPIC.

Requirements and Expectations

• Current RN licensure
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), ENPC or PALS, NIHSS, NRP, TNCC
• BSN not required
• Must be within 60 miles of facility
• Valid driver's license required
• May float within Zone 1 based on extreme staffing needs as determined by nurse manager
• Call or standby requirements determined by nurse manager
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
