Pharmacist Job in Richmond, VA

CJW Medical Center Chippenham Campus in Richmond, VA is hiring a travel Pharmacist to join the hospital pharmacy team. This is a 168-day assignment starting November 9, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work in a 463-bed hospital pharmacy setting, performing medication verification, IV verification, and IV compounding. This position does not float to other departments.

Schedule

You will work evening shifts from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, 5 days per week, for a total of 40 hours. (Note: the facility also operates night shifts from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM; your assignment is the evening shift listed.)

Responsibilities

• Verify medications and manage IV compounding for complex patient populations
• Support patients in trauma, burn, critical care, pediatrics, cardiac surgery, and ECMO programs
• Apply advanced clinical skills including Vancomycin AUC dosing, aminoglycoside dosing, renal dosing, warfarin management, enoxaparin, electrolyte protocols, heparin, and DOAC management
• Work with hospital pharmacy systems: Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, and C2 Safe

Required Qualifications

• Virginia State Pharmacist license
• Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with Dose Edge IV, Pyxis, Meditech, and Vigilanz systems

Compensation
