Pharmacist Inpatient Job in Chesapeake, VA

Join Chesapeake Regional Medical Center as an Inpatient Pharmacist on a 91-day travel assignment starting September 21, 2026. This position offers a rotating schedule of 5x8-hour shifts with competitive compensation of $3,791 weekly.

Shift Structure

• Day shifts: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
• Evening shifts: 1:00 PM–9:30 PM, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
• Overnight shifts (as needed): 7:30 PM–7:30 AM, 8:30 PM–7:30 AM, rotating 7 nights on/7 nights off
• Majority of work is day and evening shifts with occasional overnight coverage
• Weekend rotation required every third weekend

Requirements

• Active Virginia Pharmacist license required at time of submission
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• PharmD and Registered Pharmacist (RPh) credentials
• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
• Epic proficiency (no exceptions)
• Required skills: IV admixture/IV pharmacy, patient-controlled analgesia (PCA), antibiotic management, drug interaction review, medication order entry, and medication order verification

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel healthcare experience
• Chemotherapy experience
• Anticoagulation management
• Pharmacokinetic dosing
• Renal dosing

You must work two of the three winter holidays. Extensions through January 9, 2027 are available but not required. This is an excellent opportunity to gain diverse inpatient pharmacy experience in a structured healthcare setting.
