Pharmacist Inpatient Job in Fishersville, VA

Augusta Health is seeking a Pharmacist for inpatient pharmacy services in Fishersville, VA. This is a 91-day travel position starting November 2, 2026, offering $3,641 weekly pay.

Schedule & Expectations

• 5x8 rotating day and evening shifts
• Day shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Evening shift: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• Consistent 8-hour evening shift available as an alternative
• Weekend coverage required approximately every 3 to 4 weeks
• No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Order verification and IV room oversight
• Automated dispensing system management
• High-alert medication handling, IV piggyback, IV push medications, and TPN compounding
• Clinical dosing support including pharmacokinetic, cardiac, geriatric, and renal dosing
• Anticoagulation therapy management including Warfarin dosing and pain-controlled analgesia oversight
• Sterile compounding and packaging of antineoplastic agents
• Drug shortage management and therapeutic medication monitoring
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations

Required Qualifications

• PharmD degree
• Virginia pharmacy license (RPh)
• Community hospital experience required
• Meditech charting system experience required
• 3 to 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• First-time travelers considered if other qualifications are met
