Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients in a 40-bed inpatient area
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week and average length of stay of 2-3 days
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on days/evenings, 1:5-7 on nights
• Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care needs based on acuity, and work as part of a team
• Unit may low census shifts in 4-hour increments as needed
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
