RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable shifts with a guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Rotate every other weekend and every other holiday
• Occasional float to other departments to assist with tasks such as vital checks, but will not take on a patient load
• May float to other locations such as Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Langlade
• Travelers may be placed on call during low census hours with a maximum of 36 unbillable low census hours per contract
• If called back to the facility, call back pay applies with a minimum of 2 hours
• Work in a 20-bed unit with a typical census of 8-10 patients; unit is shared between ICU (3 beds) and Med Surg
• Nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1:4-5 on Days/Evenings and 1:6-7 on Evenings/Nights
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; ED or ICU experience is very helpful
• Required certifications: WI RN license, AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrubs must be clean and work appropriate; any color or style is acceptable
