Med Surg RN Job in Medford, WI

Aspirus Medford Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical-Surgical nursing. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting July 6, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: Medical-Surgical
• Shift: 3x12 nights (guaranteed 36 hours per week)
• Weekly pay: $2,377.08
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6–7 on nights
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and monitoring on the Medical-Surgical unit
• Read and interpret telemetry strips
• Float occasionally to other departments for tasks such as vital checks, without patient load assignment
• Possible float to other Aspirus locations including Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Langlade
• May be placed on call during low census hours; call back minimum is 2 hours

Requirements

• RN degree (Associate or Certificate required; Bachelor's preferred)
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience; ED or ICU experience strongly preferred
• Wisconsin RN license
• Current AHA or ARC BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Ability to read telemetry strips
• Epic charting experience preferred
