Med Surg RN Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 63-day travel contract on the Medical-Surgical unit. You will work 12-hour day shifts, three days per week, with a guaranteed 36 hours weekly. Your weekly pay is $2,377.08.

Your Role:

• Provide care on the MAP Unit, covering Medical and Pediatrics (you will treat adult patients only)
• Float to other inpatient units as clinical needs require
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4–5 on your day shifts

Patient Populations:

You will treat adult patients with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal.

Requirements:

• Current Wisconsin RN License
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred

Important Details:

• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours; the unit may implement low census in 4-hour increments and may ask you to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
