About this role

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 32-bed Telemetry unit in Stockbridge, Georgia. This is a 140-day travel assignment starting September 14, 2026, working three 12-hour night shifts per week at $1,918.08 weekly.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with prior travel experience required
  • Current Georgia or Compact nursing license
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Proven experience managing continuous IV drips including cardiac medications (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips
  • Telemetry competency exam required
  • Epic charting experience preferred

Core Competencies:

You will manage a patient ratio of 1:5–6 on days and nights, with 1:6 on weekends. You must demonstrate expertise in cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardioversion, hemodynamic monitoring, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, heparin protocols, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care, TR Band management, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.

Patient Population:

The unit serves adults to geriatric patients with diagnoses including cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal and pulmonary conditions (COPD, pulmonary edema), PE, DVT, stable cardiac arrhythmias (A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia), post-surgical cases, DKA, post-cardiac catheterization, and occasional orthopedic or CVA overflow. You will work with High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and BiPAP/CPAP with 24/7 respiratory therapy support.

Assignment Details:

  • Typically scheduled every other weekend; permanent staff scheduled first
  • Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all PTO must be finalized at submission
  • Holiday coverage required: work all major holidays if one or two fall within the assignment; work two if three fall within the assignment
  • Call is rare with a 2-hour response time
  • Floating required within scope of practice; you typically will not manage Precedex
  • Navy Blue scrubs required

You will have access to interdisciplinary services including respiratory, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Previous charge experience is preferred.
