Med Surg RN Job in Zanesville, OH

You will work 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) on a 21-bed Renal/Medical-Surgical unit at Genesis Healthcare System in Zanesville, Ohio. This is a 91-day travel contract starting September 21, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,111.

Your Role

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients
• Manage patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry independently
• Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience; renal experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Epic EMR proficiency is mandatory; no training provided. Lack of proficiency results in immediate termination
• Competency test required on Day 1; failure results in immediate contract termination

Schedule & Expectations

• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Must demonstrate adaptability, efficiency, and strong critical thinking in a high-volume setting
