Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (3x12 schedule)
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Float required
• Patient ratio of 2-3 patients per nurse
• Charting system: Cerner
• 2 years of recent ICU experience required within the last 7 years
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment prior to consideration
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
• Scrubs: Navy blue or navy blue bottoms with white top - not provided by facility
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Treat patients with diagnoses including acute MI, respiratory failure, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, PE, DKA, HHNK, angioedema, unstable angina, acute renal failure, hypertensive crisis, cardiac arrest, acute CVA, drug overdose, poison overdose, sepsis, and rhabdomyolysis
• Perform and manage special procedures including TPA administration and monitoring, manual proning, BiLevel/APRV ventilation, trach care, ETT care, post cath care including sheath monitoring and removal, targeted temperature management, IABP management, continuous renal replacement therapy, cardiac output monitoring, and transvenous pacing
• Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, and ECMO
• Special equipment includes Flotrac monitoring, IABP, Rotoproner, Swan-Ganz pulmonary artery catheters, external transvenous pacers, and high-flow oxygen
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
