Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Bronx, NY

St. Barnabas Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room team. You will work a 4x10 rotating schedule with primary hours from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and weekend hours from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning November 30, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Scrub surgical cases under the general supervision of the OR Manager
• Float primarily within the General OR with occasional float to Labor & Delivery
• Handle instruments, supplies, medication, media, specimens, and instrument cases
• Work alongside surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesiologists, certified nurse anesthetists, and ancillary support personnel
• Assume call responsibility when fully trained
• Work weekends and holidays as scheduled

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Previous hospital experience as an OR/Surgical Tech
• Experience working Vascular and Orthopedic cases
• Current BLS certification
• Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification

You will be scheduled for 38 hours weekly with 34.5 hours worked after breaks. Weekly pay is $2,288. This position offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment while maintaining the flexibility of a travel assignment.
