Certified Surgical Tech - Certified Surgical Tech

Job Details:

• Must be a Certified Surgical Tech or must have worked as a tech prior to 2015
• 1 year of experience required
• Travel position - must reside more than 75 miles from facility
• First time travelers accepted
• On-call requirement of 1 call per week and 1 weekend per month
• Candidates will float as needed
• Must be comfortable working in multiple specialties including Ortho, General, GU, GYN, Plastics, and ENT
• Perform elective and emergency surgeries for both adult and pediatric patients
• Work across 23 OR suites and 1 procedure room
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• NY state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, CST (either certification accepted)
• Required skills include: Ambulatory OR, Fire Safety, Aseptic Technique, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/Labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, and Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
• Must be proficient in a wide range of surgical procedures including vascular, ENT, general, gynecologic, spinal, ophthalmic, orthopedic, robotic, thoracic, urologic, and fracture reduction surgeries
