OR RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a registered nurse for the Operating Room at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. This is a 89-day travel assignment beginning December 28, 2026, on a 4x10 day shift schedule.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care in the OR, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care according to organizational policies and professional nursing standards. You will review patient histories, physical exams, and diagnostic results, reporting abnormal findings to physicians and care team members. Your responsibilities include formulating individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs, implementing care through direct nursing activities, delegation, and team supervision, and documenting all assessments and interventions accurately and timely in patient records.

You will evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, adjusting plans as needed. You may be asked to precept and mentor colleagues, participate in shared leadership and education initiatives, and support the orientation of facility personnel and students.

Schedule and Location

This position operates on a varied work schedule, including weekends, holidays, call coverage, and float assignments per department guidelines. You will work 4 consecutive 10-hour days at Banner Desert Medical Center, 1400 S Dobson Rd, Mesa, Arizona.

Physical Requirements

You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You may be required to lift up to 75 pounds. Standard precautions are mandatory due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Operating Room experience within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,718.
