ED RN Job in McAllen, TX

Rio Grande Regional Hospital is seeking an RN for a travel assignment in their freestanding emergency department (FSED). You will work a 3x12 night shift schedule (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) for 13 weeks, beginning October 19, 2026.

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in a FSED environment with a patient ratio of 1:4
• Perform triage, patient monitoring, and emergency response procedures for code blue, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis protocols
• Demonstrate proficiency with tough sticks, large bore IV placement, blood cultures, and point-of-care lab work
• Operate emergency equipment including trauma, POC lab, and precipitous delivery equipment
• Work with the Meditech EMR system
• Float to other FSEDs and EDs as needed
• Work every other weekend

Qualifications and Requirements:

• RN degree
• Minimum 2 years of FSED/ED experience
• Ability to work with minimal oversight
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS, and CPI
• Scrub color: Royal Blue

Compensation and Assignment Details:

Weekly pay is $2,227. This is a 91-day assignment. You will be part of the MISSION contract program.
