Special Procedures Technologist Job in Kenner, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Allied Health Professional Special Procedures Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment at Ochsner Medical Center - Kenner in Kenner, Louisiana, beginning July 27, 2026.

Position Overview

You will support interventional radiology and cardiology procedures in a high-volume special procedures department. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to work independently within a collaborative care team.

Schedule & Compensation

• 4 x 10-hour day shifts per week, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 10 call shifts per month required, including 3 weekend call shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• One guaranteed long weekend off per month without requesting
• Block scheduling type
• Weekly pay: $2,840

Facility & Patient Population

Daily census of 8 patients across 2 rooms. Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Adult patient population.

Core Responsibilities

You will perform angiography, angioplasty, embolization, fluoroscopy, PICC line placement, interventional radiology procedures, endovascular interventions, radiofrequency ablation, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and maintain sterile technique throughout all procedures. Special equipment includes Siemens Fluoro, Medrad power injector, GE CT machine, and Philips Epiq ultrasound.

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional credential
• Minimum 3–4 years of clinical experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Current Compact or Louisiana radiologic technologist license in hand at time of application
• ARRT R and BLS (AHA) certifications required
• Must be located more than 65 miles from facility address

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT VI and ACLS certifications
