Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 4x12 or 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule includes weekdays and weekends with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension
• 34-bed med/surg unit with telemetry
• Patient ratios of 1:5-7
• Patient population consists of adults
• Daily census of approximately 30 patients
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• WV or Compact nursing license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must be through American Heart Association)
• Charting system: Cerner
• No scrubs provided
• Skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care and management, chest tube management, CVA care, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation, isolation precautions and PPE, telemetry and remote monitoring, PCA management, peripheral and PICC line care, phlebotomy, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, tracheostomy care, wound care and wound vac, and use of rapid response and code teams
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Facility will only tolerate 2-3 call-offs per contract due to attendance expectations
