Med Surg RN Job in Morgantown, WV

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on a 34-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV. This is a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension.

Schedule and Pay

• 4x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekday and weekend shifts required; 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• Weekly pay: $2,431

Patient Care

• Patient ratios of 1:5–7
• Daily census approximately 30 adult patients
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary

Required Credentials and Experience

• RN degree with minimum 2 years of experience
• WV or Compact nursing license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (through American Heart Association where applicable)

Key Clinical Skills

• BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care and management, chest tube management, CVA care, feeding tube care and management
• Heparin protocols, high-flow nasal cannula, interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias
• Isolation precautions and PPE, telemetry and remote monitoring, PCA
• Peripheral and PICC line management, phlebotomy, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post hemodialysis management
• Renal failure management, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drain management, tracheostomy care
• Use of rapid response and code teams, wound care and wound vac

• Charting system: Cerner
• Attendance policy strictly enforced; facility will tolerate 2–3 call-offs per contract
