Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 5N Med Surg unit with oncology experience preferred but not required
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule options: 3x12 or 4x12 nights, weekdays with every other weekend required
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with a maximum of 6 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends
• 12-bed inpatient oncology unit with med/surg overflow serving adult and geriatric patients
• Chemotherapy administration performed on unit
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of specialty experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• IV start skills required
• Blocked schedule available
• Scrubs not provided; burgundy and/or white scrubs required
• Charting system: Cerner (experience preferred)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; BLS and ACLS must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ONS chemo/bio certification preferred
• WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
• Facility will only tolerate 2-3 call-offs per contract
