Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a travel assignment. You will work 12-hour rotating shifts in the Main Operating Room, with the option to work 48 hours per week. This 89-week assignment begins July 20, 2026, and offers a weekly pay of $1,621.62.

Your Role

As a Surgical Technologist, you will scrub in and assist across a wide range of surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, gynecology, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma. You will also support procedures utilizing two Da Vinci robotic systems across multiple services and assist with the hospital's transplant program, which includes liver, kidney, and heart transplants. You will work within a Level 1 Trauma Center environment.

Requirements

• NBSTSA Certification or minimum 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
• Minimum 2 years of surgical technician experience required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• NBSTSA Tech License (NY License) or equivalent 10 years of experience
• Must be able to scrub
• Operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred
