Certified Surgical Technologist in Elmira, NY

Join Arnot Ogden Medical Center (AOMC) as a Certified Surgical Technologist in our Labor & Delivery unit. This 90-day travel position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic obstetric setting where you'll contribute directly to patient care and surgical support.

Position Overview

You will assist in Cesarean sections as a primary responsibility within a high-risk facility that manages 80–120 deliveries per month. The unit includes 10 beds for active labor & delivery and 2 operating rooms, connected to a 20-bed maternity unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide surgical support and assistance during Cesarean sections
• Stock rooms and supplies as needed to maintain unit readiness
• Perform cleaning of the unit when and where needed
• Remain available to sit with patients in the hospital if not actively needed on the unit
• Occasionally work night shifts as required by staffing needs

Requirements

You must have a minimum of two years of surgical technician experience and current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist. You should be flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced obstetric environment.

Assignment Details

This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning July 12, 2026. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week, earning $2,195 weekly. Elmira, New York, offers a supportive community setting while you gain valuable experience in a high-volume obstetric surgical program.
