Respiratory Therapist Job in Saint Louis, MO

Saint Louis Children's Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join their Respiratory and Neuro Diagnostics team. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 8, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Weekly pay: $2,205
• Every other weekend required; no on-call
• Up to 2 approved time-off requests permitted

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Current RRT certification
• BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• NICU and/or PICU experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Proficiency with servo ventilators, nitric oxide, and high-frequency oscillator (HFO) equipment

Core Competencies

• Aerosol setup and delivery
• BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management
• Intubation assistance and mechanical ventilation weaning
• Nitric oxide (INo) therapy
• Oscillating ventilator operation
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation
• Pediatric and neonatal critical care
• Emergency department support

Patient Population

You will serve neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and adult patients across the facility's critical care and emergency departments.

Work Environment

Interdisciplinary support is available, including interpretation services and rapid response teams. Wear any scrub color or facility-branded apparel. Trauma Level I experience is preferred. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
