Operating Room RN Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health Charleston is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room on a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 31, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work in a Level I trauma center performing both scrub and circulate duties across multiple surgical specialties. Your primary schedule consists of three 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM–7:00 PM) per week. You may be called to work up to four on-call shifts monthly (end of shift through 7:00 AM) and are required to work approximately one weekend shift per 4-week period. The facility may call off one shift per two weeks.

Schedule & Availability

• 3x12 day shifts weekly at $2,047.68 per week
• Up to 4 on-call shifts per month as needed
• Approximately 1 weekend shift per 4-week cycle
• Must be available for at least one holiday period (Christmas: December 24–26; New Year's: December 31–January 1)

Clinical Details

You will care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients across trauma, transplant, orthopedic, neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotic surgical procedures. You may float within scope to meet facility needs or work at sister facilities as required. The facility uses EPIC for charting, and scrubs are provided.

Requirements

• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license
• BLS certification
• Level I trauma experience required
• 2 years of OR RN experience strongly preferred
• Scrub experience strongly preferred
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
• First-time travelers accepted
