ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Variable shift schedule including 1:00 PM–1:00 AM, 4:00 PM–4:00 AM, and/or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required with 2–3 weekends per month
• Patient ratio of 4:1 across days, nights, and weekends
• 3 years of experience required
• California RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be AHA or ARC)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Clinical skills required include triage, IV placement and management, arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, interpretation of arterial blood gases, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and phlebotomy
• Experience managing conditions such as stroke, seizures, head injury, spinal cord injury, burns, mental and behavioral health conditions, sickle cell crisis, and traumatic amputation required
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and interpretation services
