Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 4x12 night shift schedule (48-hour weeks)
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Block schedule not available; weekend block may be considered and must be discussed during interview
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Tele experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers typically not accepted unless they have 5+ years of experience in the specialty
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:6/7 utilizing a team nursing model (RN, LPN, and Med Nurse split caseload)
• Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
• 45-bed unit with primary surgical oncology patients, medical oncology overflow, and med-surg overflow
• Experience with central lines (PAC, PICC lines, and midlines) required
• Procedures include wound care, drains, ostomies, Foleys, and PCA pumps
• Chemotherapy administration for ONS-certified nurses only
• IV start skills required
• EPIC experience preferred
• ADN accepted; BSN not required for this position
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• If assignment includes end-of-year holidays, must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all three fall within the assignment, or at least 1 of 2 holidays if only two fall within the assignment
• RNs may be floated between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius
