ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work in a high-volume emergency department with 101 beds
• Patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required with flexibility to meet department needs
• No block scheduling available
• Float within all sections of the ED as needed, no floating outside of the ED
• Document using Cerner electronic health record system
• Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Follow AIDET patient experience standards and maintain updated patient boards throughout each visit
• Maintain respectful behavior and deliver patient experience standards to each patient
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an ER setting required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED with more than 100,000 visits preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required
• Required certifications prior to start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
