ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with variable scheduling
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient ratios of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24 orientation hours required
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• Holiday work expectations apply if major holidays fall within assignment period
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills include: management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, central line care/management, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, suctioning (ETT, NT), isolation precautions/PPE, ventilator management, and infection prevention
• Experience in Neuro ICU, Medical ICU, and Surgical ICU settings required
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and more
• GA or Compact nursing license required
