ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - CCU

Job Details:

• Float pool position requiring flexibility across multiple units including MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, Neuro ICU, and CVICU
• Primary float assignment is ICU, but may float to all MS, MS/Tele, PCU, and ICU units within the hospital
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Patient ratios: 1:2-3 ICU; 1:4-5 PCU; 1:5-6 MS and MS Tele
• Every other weekend required (average 6 weekends in a 13-week contract)
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4th–12th)
• Holiday work expectations apply based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
• 48-hour guarantee approved but not mandatory
• No on-call requirements
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Required charting system experience: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Key clinical skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, IV insulin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs, CVA/acute stroke management, ICP monitoring, and PICC line management
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
