ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Self-scheduling
• Patient ratio experience of 2-3 patients required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Scrub color: Black or Caribbean blue
• Charting system: Meditech (preferred experience)
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Must reside 50+ miles from facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Float may be required within the unit float rotation to acute care with a 1:4 ratio during times of low census or when additional assistance is needed
• Care for adult patient population
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, pharmacy, and transportation
• Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, chronic/acute renal failure management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), infection prevention, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, phlebotomy, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), titrating cardiac drips, titrating vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
