PACU RN Job in Arcata, CA

Mad River Community Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 2, 2026, offering you the opportunity to deliver critical post-operative care in a community hospital setting.

Role Overview

You will provide direct nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery. Your responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assessing pain levels, managing airway and breathing support, administering medications, and communicating with surgical and anesthesia teams. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and quick assessment skills are essential.

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $80
• Weekly pay: $1,615

Requirements

• Current California RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
