PACU Registered Nurse Job in San Francisco, CA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Sutter Health CPMC Van Ness Campus in San Francisco. This is a 91-day travel position starting November 16, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
• Day shifts with start times between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM
• No weekend shifts required
• Weekly pay: $2,380

Role Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care based on peri-anesthesia nursing competencies and pharmacology
• Care for geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and infant patient populations
• Apply the nursing process from patient admission through discharge
• Perform nursing assessments and manage pharmacology, including medication doses, interactions, side effects, and reactions
• Demonstrate knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care and airway management
• Manage a patient ratio of 2:1
• Float to other CPMC campuses as needed based on census

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of PACU RN experience in a high acuity care hospital
• ICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• Valid California RN licensure
• Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), and PALS certifications
• Charting system experience; Epic system used at this facility
• Cath Lab experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
