Case Management RN Job in Sitka, AK

Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka, Alaska is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Case Management position. This is a travel assignment running 91 days, starting November 16, 2026, at $120.00 per hour ($3,677 weekly). You will work 5x8 days.

About the Role

You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care in a fast-paced ambulatory environment. Your responsibilities include:

• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions and patient responses
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders and facility policy
• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions or escalation of care
• Provide patient and family education related to care, medications, and discharge needs
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Facilitate referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of services
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Advocate for patients and assist them in navigating the healthcare system
• Participate in quality and performance improvement activities
• Float to other departments or assignments as needed

Requirements

• Active Alaska nursing license required at time of submittal
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current BLS certification
• Case management experience in a clinic or hospital setting required within the last 2 years
• Case Management certification preferred

You will deliver culturally responsive, patient-centered care while practicing within nursing scope of practice and adhering to regulatory, safety, and infection prevention requirements.
