Operating Room RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for their Level 4 Operating Room. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning August 3, 2026, offering $2,577 weekly pay on a 12-hour shift schedule.

About the Role

You will work a rotating day/evening/night schedule in a busy surgical environment. Your responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating across multiple surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, gynecology, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma. You will support a transplant program involving liver, kidney, and heart procedures and work with two da Vinci robotic systems used across multiple services.

On-call, callback, floating, holidays, and weekends are required per unit needs.

Requirements

• Current New York State RN license
• Minimum two years of operating room experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Ability to scrub and circulate

Preferred Qualifications

• Level 1 trauma hospital experience
• Telemetry experience
• Specialty surgical experience including transplants, plastics, reconstructive cases, craniotomy, and orthopedic procedures
• ACLS certification
