Job Details:

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during, and after surgery
• Perform patient assessments and create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment
• Provide pre and post-operative patient education
• Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout the surgical care continuum
• Primarily a circulating position with scrub experience as an additional preferred skill
• Float experience required across vascular, ortho, trauma, general surgery, robotic, urology, and ENT procedures
• Work across 14 operating rooms with coverage in Labor & Delivery for C-sections
• Care for pediatric through adult patient populations
• Average of 50 procedures per day across all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology
• No weekend shifts required
• On-call requirement of 1 call per month if needed
• 2+ years of current OR experience required
• Travel experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required - must be noted on submission
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• New York nursing license required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must have own personal vehicle
• Skills checklist current within one year required
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Requested time off must be noted and verified at upload - RTO requests after upload will not be approved
