Join Glens Falls Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. This 91-day travel assignment runs from August 13, 2026, and offers a 5×8 day shift schedule with no weekend requirements. You'll earn $2,592 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide comprehensive surgical patient care across the perioperative continuum. Your responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile and safe surgical environments
• Perform patient assessments and provide pre- and post-operative education
• Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout their surgical experience
• Work primarily in a circulating capacity with scrub experience as an additional preferred skill

Scope of Practice

You will float across 14 operating rooms and support vascular, ortho, trauma, general surgery, robotic, urology, and ENT procedures. The facility processes an average of 50 procedures per day across all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology. You will also provide coverage in Labor & Delivery for C-sections and care for pediatric through adult patient populations. An on-call requirement of one shift per month applies as needed.

Qualifications Required

• 2+ years of current OR experience
• Travel nursing experience
• Active New York nursing license
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• EPIC EMR experience (must be noted on submission)
• Current skills checklist within one year
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Personal vehicle required
• Supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment
