About this role

As a Cath Lab Technologist with Baptist Healthcare System, Inc., you will support cardiac catheterization procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. This is a night shift role (5x8) based in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, with an 89-day assignment starting June 8, 2026. Weekly pay is $3,358.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Operate fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment safely during cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Perform multiple roles including computer operator, scrub assistant, second circulator, and recovery technician for adult and geriatric patients
  • Assist the circulating RN with assessment and implementation of cardiovascular patient care
  • Monitor hemodynamic data continuously and accurately analyze waveforms
  • Recognize drugs and lab values that may contraindicate procedures and communicate findings to the care team
  • Document patient demographics and procedural information in medical records
  • Maintain sterile technique while assisting scrub personnel with equipment setup and acquisition
  • Provide first-line assistance to physicians during procedures
  • Calculate valve areas and shunts accurately
  • Administer medications on and off the sterile field with proper labeling
  • Monitor radiation safety in accordance with code of practice guidelines and adhere to radiation protection standards for personnel and patients
  • Recognize and communicate patient status changes, including vital sign alterations, to the healthcare team
  • Assist physicians and RNs in emergency situations and coordinate emergency transfers
  • Properly dispose of biohazardous materials and contaminated equipment
  • Demonstrate proficiency in catheterization lab code procedures

You will need a strong foundation in cardiac catheterization procedures, radiation safety, sterile technique, and hemodynamic monitoring. Your ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and team members in a procedural setting is essential.
