NICU RN Job in Santa Maria, CA

Marian Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in the NICU. You will work 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with every-other-weekend and 2 major holiday requirements. This role offers self-scheduling as your primary schedule type.

About the Unit

• Level 3 NICU with 21 beds, plus Peds (8 beds) and Nursery coverage as needed
• Patient ratios: NICU 1:1 to 1:3; Peds unit 1:4 or less
• Common diagnoses include patients 23 weeks and above, feeders/growers, and cooling cases
• You may float between NICU, Nursery, Peds, and occasionally Mother Baby (if experienced)

Clinical Requirements & Equipment

• Must be comfortable with high-frequency oscillators, Draeger ventilators, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Cooling experience is preferred
• Charting via Cerner; Phillips telemetry on unit (not required to read telemetry)
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
• No IV team or nurse aides on unit

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required; Level 3 or above experience mandatory
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• PALS and STABLE certifications preferred
• Active California nursing license required
• BSN not required
• Previous travel experience not required

Compensation & Details

Weekly pay is $2,318. Assignment begins November 9, 2026. Scrub color is navy. First-to-float protocols apply during low census; standby call may be required.
