Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Rolla, MO

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a temporary position at Vertical Health Services - Aurora Health and Rehabilitation in Rolla, MO. Position Details

• Schedule: 5x8 days (Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start Date: August 17, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $1,728
• No on-call or weekend requirements

Your Responsibilities

• Implement components of patient care and obtain data related to treatments provided
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to modify care plans as necessary
• Assist in treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to end-of-life patients
• Help patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups
• Work directly alongside the Physical Therapist during patient treatment
• Teach patients balance training and other therapeutic techniques
• Communicate with patients' families to identify best at-home care techniques
• Assist with patient mobility, including moving patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the therapy area
• Keep the physical therapy area clean and organized
• Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and filing paperwork

Qualifications

• Active PTA license (Missouri state license required)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
