CVOR RN Job in Tomball, TX

You will work as a Cardiovascular OR RN at HCA Houston Tomball, a 4x10 day shift role (7 AM–5 PM) for 13 weeks, beginning August 17, 2026. Your weekly pay is $2,336.

Role Overview

You will scrub cardiovascular surgery procedures with strong technical skills in CV cases. Your primary responsibilities include assisting with CABG, mitral valve replacements, femoral bypass, and thrombectomy procedures. You will also scrub general cases, orthopedic, neuro/spine, robotics-assisted general and gynecology procedures, urology, ENT, and podiatry cases as needed.

Staffing & Patient Ratios

• Day shift coverage through 5 PM; on-call staff manage 14-hour and 16-hour shifts after 5 PM
• Night shift is on-call only after 7 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for general cases (1 Surgical Tech to 1 RN)
• Patient ratio of 2:2 for cardiovascular cases (2 Surgical Techs to 2 RNs)

Required & Preferred Skills

• Cardiovascular surgical scrub skills (required)
• Ability to scrub general procedures and other surgical cases (required)
• Orthopedic scrub skills (preferred)
• Robotic surgery scrub skills (preferred)
• Current BLS certification (required)

Additional Details

Blue scrubs are provided by the facility due to daily change requirements. The facility uses MediTech as its electronic medical record system. You may be required to provide on-call coverage 1–2 nights per week and 1 weekend per month. You may also provide additional coverage for emergency cases on weekends. Floating to the adjacent ASC across the street is possible but extremely rare.
