ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work in a patient-facing, clinical emergency department role
• 36 or 48 hours per week available with 36 guaranteed hours
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
• Night shift or variable shift schedule in a 24/7 emergency department
• Nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for all other patients
• Provide comprehensive emergency medical services to patients of all age groups
• Work alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff in a 54-bed Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
• EMR system: Meditech
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; will consider 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license with 2 years of recent specialty experience
• Associate degree in nursing required
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, NIH or Red Cross, TNCC (SECURE on site)
• Alabama RN license or Compact license required (no temporary licenses accepted)
• NURSYS verification required
